Today I did the walk through of my Magnolia art studio (yes, I had to do a walk through, even though the building is slated to be demolished in May) and turned in my keys. My studio in Magnolia was the seventh home for my press, and my favorite, so far. I will miss having all of that space to myself, and having access to the canal. My new studio is in a much nicer building, and has the benefits of a talented studio mate and Willie the studio dog. It is much closer to my house. But I have yet to make any prints there. I am having a hard time adjusting. Even good change can be stressful. I am looking forward to another printmaking intensive so that I can settle into my new digs.
